To drive higher value for clients and address the growing demand for global delivery of IT services, IBM opened its Global Delivery Center (GDC) in China in 1999 in Shanghai. Over the past decade, it has become IBM's second largest Global Delivery Center worldwide.
China GDC provides a broad spectrum of services, including consulting, systems integration, application services, maintenance, testing, solution management, business transformation outsourcing services and IT infrastructure services. It also supports leading package solutions, such as SAP, Oracle, Siebel, mainframe and e-business applications.
China GDC provides services to clients worldwide across the locations of Shanghai, Dalian, Shenzhen, Chengdu, and Wuhan and on the client sites. All the Global Delivery Centers located around the world comply with IBM’s global practices, processes and methodologies.
In 2009, China GDC has successfully attained both ISO 20000 and ISO 27001 certifications. The ISO certification is another important milestone in the company’s continuous quality improvement efforts following its accreditation of Capability Maturity Model® Integration Maturity Level 5 (CMMI 5) Version 1.2 by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) in 2008. With the latest and highest international standard institutionalized across China Global Delivery’s sites, IBM continues its leadership in quality control in China’s application services outsourcing market.

Package Solution Consultant - Sterling - English/Japanese

Responsibilities:
- Analyze business & system requirements
- Map business processes to broad package functionality
- Assist in the preparation of high as well as detailed level designs
- Convert business requirements into package solution by configuring Sterling product accordingly
- Provide a feedback loop on potential impact on package solution for any business process or 3rd party package related constraints
- Prepare system test plans and perform system testing.
- Assist in System & Integration testing / Coordinate with other project teams on design and architecture related items
- Sterling Commerce –Order Management
- Understanding on multiple modules and capability to do configuration, gap analysis and proof of concepts of various requirements (Configurator, CDT etc.)
- Expertise in cross-domain business processes as well as basic BPM tools
- Understanding of technical components especially Service definition framework, integration / agent servers etc. Having exposure to application/web servers, XML/XSL, RDBMS will be an added advantage.
Requirements:
- Strong Functional and Technical experience in Order Management using Sterling Commerce.
- Experience in conceptualizing and building batch and real-time campaigns
- At least two full lifecycle experience (Waterfall/Agile), responsible for the solution architecture and development
- Utilizes appropriate tools and/or develops custom solutions as required to meet project objectives.
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
- Strong comprehension, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Works closely with Management to understand unique features of client technology solution and marketing objectives.
- Takes responsibility for the accuracy and quality of the work performed and takes ownership of all assigned projects.
- Should have excellent knowledge on Java and J2EE design patterns.
- Ability to accommodate extensive global/regional travel (70% or more)
- Excellent written and verbal English skills
Required
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 5 years experience in Sterling, Order Management
- English: Intermediate
