These scrubbing centers feature both commercially available off-the-shelf equipment and proprietary app and are combined with significant network capacity from multiple carriers, to provide massive mitigation capacity. These scrubbing centers feature both commercially available off-the-shelf equipment and proprietary app and are combined with significant network capacity from multiple carriers, to provide massive mitigation capacity.   We are now looking for a high caliber candidate to fill the following position:   Deputy SOC Manager (based in Hong Kong) Hong Kong Responsibilities: This position typically ensures smooth operation of various processes that contribute to the service support of Nexusguard’s services hence leading to customer’s satisfaction. The deputy SOC manager will assist SOC manager in managing a 7x24 daily operations center and to work directly with his \ her team members to ensure Security Operations function according to business requirements and all operation events are handled effectively and with efficiency. To serve as the point of escalation for escalated events requiring for further advisory, diagnosis, or decision in putting stopgap measures to problems and by participating in the problem management process. By enhancing and putting proper enforcement on the programs, policies, procedures, and technologies to maximize the effectiveness of Nexus Guard’s security operations. To develop and managing team development programs in effort to build an effective and efficient operation. To constantly analyse, review and maintain documented SOC best practices, policies and overseeing their effectiveness. Ensuring of both internal and external SLAs are met. Ensure customer satisfaction through effective handling of security events and open communication with customers. To participate in the review and assessments of team members KPIs and their individual development progress. Participate in service design, deployment and continuous service improvement Requirements: Qualifications / Requirements Diploma or Degree Network and Security professional certificates like ITIL Manager, SANS GIAC, CCSP, etc; will be advantageous Minimum 3-5 years experience in NOC/SOC management positions, Service Provider or other Large Network Deployment environments will be advantageous A record of success in leading teams working with multiple firewall, IDS, network traffic analysis, attack mitigation, and related internet technologies. Experience handling DDOS events will be advantageous. Knowledge of Internet routing and network troubleshooting Knowledge of Internet technologies (BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, HTTP(S), GRE, SMTP, DNS, and SSL) Knowledge of WAN technologies (TCP/IP, BGP routing, anycast etc.) Proven ability to lead, motivate people, set targets and monitor achievements in delivering quality security services. Expert in leading teams to manage and monitor high-availability Internet services. Experience with network management tools and concepts. Experience with understanding all monitoring thresholds and alerts and associated escalation paths.
