China GDC provides services to clients worldwide across the locations of Shanghai, Dalian, Shenzhen, Chengdu, and Wuhan and on the client sites. All the Global Delivery Centers located around the world comply with IBM’s global practices, processes and methodologies.

In 2009, China GDC has successfully attained both ISO 20000 and ISO 27001 certifications. The ISO certification is another important milestone in the company’s continuous quality improvement efforts following its accreditation of Capability Maturity Model® Integration Maturity Level 5 (CMMI 5) Version 1.2 by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) in 2008. With the latest and highest international standard institutionalized across China Global Delivery’s sites, IBM continues its leadership in quality control in China’s application services outsourcing market.

SSO(GDF) - Senior VMware Engineer - English
China - Shenzhen / Suzhou

Responsibilities:

• As Pool representative for the account, responsible for server build/operation/maintenance
• Manage SE services (system change tasks, CIRATS, health check, and query response)
• Organize the contents of the request from the customer/DPE, prepare and adjust the implementation schedule, and assign work to operations staff. (Create work request tickets)
• Create and send work report to the requester after task completion
• As person responsible for work implementation, confirm task plan and task completion by the worker
• When work failure and unexpected events occur during change work, lead the investigation and cooperate with relevant parties
• When work failure occurs, implement recovery work, analyze root cause, create preventive measures, and prepare failure report
• Respond to holiday and late-night alerts
• Provide techhnical support to queries from customers and DPE.
• Collaborate with relevant departments and project participants, and attend various meetings (project meetings, AF meetings, etc.)

Requirements:

• Windows Skilll Level: 3（Minimum: 2）
• Windows server configuration and operation experience
• Patch application experience
• VMware vCenter experience
• WSUS experience

Desired Skills

• VMware 10LPAR (and above) architecture configuration experience
• Windows performance checking
• Storage skills

General Skills

• Excellent communication skills
  • Can proficiently write reports and status reports
• Excellent negotiation skills
  • Can cope and manage work failure
• Documentation skills
  • Can create monthly reports and reports and failure reports in Japanese.
• Basic operation for Lotus Notes、Excel、Word

Required

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 3 years experience in Windows Skilll Level: 3, Windows server configuration and operation, Patch application, VMware vCenter, WSUS
• Certified in VMware Certified Professional
• Certified in VACP
• English: Fluent
• Japanese: Fluent
