The Jape Group is building a 5 storey shopping centre (TIMOR PLAZA) in the capital of Timor Leste, Dili. We are now looking for a Building Maintenance Manager to join our team and be part of this exciting project. Building Maintenance Manager
East Timor - Dili
Responsibilities:
  • Overall aspects of building maintenance and management
  • Plan and implement adequate facilities management programmes
  • Identify operating risks and implement relevant controls
  • Responsible for effective daily surveillance checks and preventive maintenance program
  • Implement and conduct periodic quality audit and building inspections
  • Ability to work within budgets and optimise cost efficiency
  • Institute cost saving measures to reduce energy and water consumption
  • Ensure the maintenance team handle maintenance issues and resolve any problems efficiently
  • Ensure effective communication with management, local staff, main contractors and any other parties on matters pertaining to the centre.
  • Review all contract documentation and make recommendations to management
  • Monitor all maintenance contracts and authorise invoices for payment
  • Day to day management of head office administration

Requirements:
  • Applicant must be willing to relocate to Dili, Timor Leste.
  • Candidate must have a Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Must have at least 5 year(s) of working experience in a maintenance management position
  • Be familiar with chillers, air-conditioning, heaters, plumbing, electrical systems and pumps
  • The ability to read and analyse blue prints and technical drawings
  • Must possess strong leadership skills and be able to plan, organise and manage a team of technical and non-technical staff
  • Required languages : English, Chinese and Bahasa Indonesia/Malay.                           Please note that only candidate with at least two (2) required languages will be considered.
