ACGT is a centre of excellence in genomic science, established to conduct R&D activities in the exciting field of plant biotechnology, with the aim of discovering novel genes for improving crop productivity and mitigating climate change. The company is a subsidiary of Genting Plantations Berhad, a public listed company listed on Bursa Malaysia. Incorporated in 2006, ACGT is a BioNexus status company, awarded by Malaysian Biotechnology Corporation Sdn Bhd, an agency under the purview of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation Malaysia (MOSTI).

Software Engineer
Kuala Lumpur - TPM, Bukit Jalil

Responsibilities:

• Identify code based solutions to complex integrated laboratory process problems.
• Implementing code solutions that fix and enhance laboratory information management system (LIMS) within a rapidly growing production environment.
• Maintain and support LIMS in high throughput production environment.  

        

Requirements:

• BSc or MSc qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or related scientific field.
• Minimum 5 years of industry related experience required.
• Experience in SQL query writing, report generation.
• Enterprise level database administration in applications such as MSSQL, MySQL and Oracle.
• Declarative programming in languages such as Uniflow, HTML, XML Javascript, JQuery and Jython.
• Procedural Programming in Languages such as C#, Java, VB, .Net.
• Networking and hardware computer skills.
